Katharina Mair aka. Maya is an Italian freelance graphic designer and lettering artist. In 2017 she founded KMDC Studio, a Vienna based multi-disciplinary design company specializing in graphic design, lettering, brand development, editorial design as well as user interface design.

With great affection for details and the drive to create unique designs, Maya is looking to incorporate the character of every individual client to create an authentic look. In the early years of her career, she discovered a strong passion for typography and lettering and ever since worked on her skills to develop new ways to bring the written word to life. Playful ligatures, flowing curves and harmonious color concepts unite individual words into a unified whole and form the foundation of her artistic work.
